  • During Sunday’s Game of Thrones season 8 premiere, Jon Snow–the King of the North–learned the truth about his family tree: He’s not the bastard son of Ned Stark, but rather the only child of Ned’s sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen. The revelation occurred shortly after Snow returned to Winterfell and was reunited with Sansa, Arya and Bran Stark, as well as his best friend Sam Tarley–who broke the news about his real parentage. The revelation means he’s the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, but also means he’s been hooking up with his aunt Daenerys. Over in King’s Landing, Cersei revealed she has no intention to actually send her army to support the battle in the North against the White Walkers. Rather, she’s in league with Euron Greyjoy, who arrived with ships carrying 20,000 mercenary soldiers. Cersei plans to use her new army to defeat whoever is left standing after the White Walkers attack the North.
