Lamar Odom tells UsWeekly that he has high hopes ex-wife Khloé Kardashian will be rooting for him when he competes on the next season of Dancing With the Stars. The former NBA star and Kardashian were married in 2009, and were in divorce proceedings when he fell into a drug-fueled coma in 2013, prompting the reality star to halt the divorce. Once Odom recovered, the pair finally divorced in 2013. Odom told the outlet that the two are on good terms, and he hopes she is “one of his supporters.” The former athlete also praised his current girlfriend Sabrina Parr, saying, “She’ll be with me every step of the way,” Odom said. “She’s a great partner in life. She gets me.” Odom is one of an eclectic assortment of contestants for the reality dancing competition that were announced Wednesday on Good Morning America. Odom said his biggest competition on the show will come from ex-NFL Star Ray Lewis, and Queer Eye cast member Karamo Brown.
