Post Malone’s new album Hollywood’s Bleeding landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending on September 12. According toThe Hollywood Reporter, the LP sold 489,000 copies in equivalent sales for the week, the second best weekly performance by any album in 2019. Hollywood’s Bleeding was also a huge hit on streaming, with 365.4 million on-demand-audio streams for the week, the biggest streaming week of the year for any album. The album’s success follows four successful singles from the LP, including “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)” with Swae Lee, which hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 this summer; the other three singles all landed in the top 10. This marks Malone’s second #1 album, following 2018’s Beerbongs & Bentleys. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s Lover remained at #2 on the Billboard 200 for the second consecutive week, while last week’s #1–Tool’s Fear Inoculum–dropped all the way to #7 in its second week.
